PBs, Medals and County Times: A Brilliant Weekend of Racing in Newmarket

What a fantastic weekend of racing! Our swimmers delivered a huge number of personal bests, medals alongside several new County qualifying times and some excellent performances across the board.
A special congratulations goes to Amalie Alexander Cahill, Sam Taylor and Max Brown, who all achieved County qualifying times for the first time, a brilliant milestone and a real reward for the hard work they’ve been putting in during training.
With the standard across the squads continuing to rise, it’s never easy for the coaching team to pick out a single standout performance. However, after some discussion, Isla Riches was selected as Swimmer of the Meet for a series of outstanding swims. Isla’s continued work ethic in training is really beginning to show in her racing, and this recognition is thoroughly deserved.
It was also fantastic to see the spirit around the team poolside, with swimmers supporting and encouraging one another throughout the meet. That kind of atmosphere is a big part of what makes the club special.
A huge well done to everyone who raced this weekend — the progress being made across the club is fantastic to see and the future is looking very bright.
