Treasurer’s report 2025-2026
2025 was a year of significant reinvestment in the development of our swimmers. The club committed substantial funds to training and developing coaches and officials, purchasing new equipment such as timing technology, subsidising a highly successful swim camp, and securing increased pool time. This was complemented by a fantastic presentation evening that celebrated the achievements of our swimmers and volunteers.
All of this took place against a challenging backdrop of rising costs and the closure ofTrinity Arts & Leisure Pool. Despite these pressures, the continued support of a growing membership enabled the club to generate more revenue than ever before. As a result, we were able to fund these investments while coming close to breaking even for the year.Looking ahead to 2026, we expect another challenging year as we experience the full year impact of higher pool costs and continue our commitment to improving training quality and performance outcomes. The committee will be exploring initiatives to strengthen the club’s finances and ensure a stable and sustainable financial footing for the future.
The 2025 accounts have been independently examined, with the club receiving a positive report regarding the accuracy of the accounts and the quality of our record keeping and financial processes. We continue to refine and improve these processes and intend to move from annual to quarterly independent examinations during 2026. Members will have the opportunity to view and discuss the full accounts at the AGM.
