Tribute to Louise Ormston

Our Club is not just a place where folks can learn to swim and perfect their technique.
To many, we are a family. Today, one of our family passed away.
Louise Ormston became involved in the Club’s committee in the same way that many of our volunteers do – through her kids being swimmers in the Club.
Louise looked after raising funds for the Club, speaking to local businesses, seeking donations for her legendary Easter and Christmas raffles and managing the door when we hosted Junior and Senior Fenland League events.
Louise was also a Swim England Technical Official, supporting the Club during its Club Championships season as a Timekeeper.
And she was Honorary Secretary to the Club for a number of years too, stepping in at an hour of need.
In fact, Louise turned her hand to whatever needed to be done to support the Club and its swimmers.
But most importantly, Louise’s first concern was for our swimmers. Whenever we were discussing a topic at a Committee meeting, her first question was, “How will that impact the kids?”
To Patrick, Natalie and Matthew – you are in all of our thoughts and hearts.
Louise – may you rest in eternal peace. And thank you for your service to St Neots Swans.
